One Crazy Childhood

As I child, I was a rebellious trickster, I would always try to prank my family and my family friends, or to scare them by jumping out at them. Whenever they would try to pull something like that over me, oh I made sure they paid for it. I absolutely hated getting scared. I would make them feel so bad for doing scaring me; I would cry and throw a tantrum, which usually ended with them giving me an apology, which I loved. I would milk that act up, and sometimes I would get lucky and they would buy me something nice.

I remember one time, I went over to my cousin’s house, she only lived next door, it was after kindergarten and we had Lunchables to eat, they were the nacho kind. We decided to go play with her Barbie’s, and I left my lunch on the table. When we came back to finish our lunches, I discovered that mine had been eaten by one of her older brothers. I think I cared a lot back then since I was so young, but her brother felt so bad for me that he bought me some Pringles. That was when I realized what I could pull over on people to give me stuff.

When I was younger, my cousins, my sister, and me, would all have sleepovers. We’ve had many strange adventures when we’re together. One time, we had a sleepover at their house in West Valley, and we spent a lot of the night, playing with Bratz dolls, those creepy ones with huge heads and no feet, and when we finally did go to sleep, my oldest cousin, Shaylece, was the heaviest sleeper. So the rest of us woke up except for her, and we got one of those vibrating pens that made big circles on paper, and we put it all over her face. Of course she stayed asleep for the whole thing though. Another adventure we all had was when we all decided to ride bikes and skateboards around the neighborhood in ghetto West Valley, so all the bikes had been taken, so I took a skateboard. I had no idea how to skateboard, so I went on my belly. The board tipped, and my chin got shredded.

We also go down to St. George to stay with our grandparents, and one day, my grandma decided to take us to Fiesta Fun for my cousin’s birthday. We all decided to ride the bumper boats, and we were all having a fun crazy time until they told us to bring our boats back. My cousin had forgotten how to maneuver her boat, so she couldn’t get back to the dock. Both workers valiantly jumped into a bumper boat and dragged her boat back to the dock. To this day we cannot stop laughing about her in her red leather skirt from the DI that she was wearing.

Some more crazy funny stories happened with my cousin, Jake. My sister and I were over at his house for a little play date, and we were all playing in his room. He then decided to tell us that he has a secret tunnel leading from his room, into the bathroom, he then told us to wait for him in the bathroom, and he would show up and show us the tunnel from his room so we could all go through it and play again in his room. So, my sister, Jayden, and I go into the bathroom and we waited for him to show up. After a few minutes we got suspicious, so we tried to go back into his room, but he wouldn’t let us back in. Turns out that he had told us that, so we would leave his room, and he could lock us out. He thought it was funny; we, however, did not.

But not every time has been good. A few years ago, my cousins, Shaylece and Charity, my sister, and I, all went down to St. George together like we do every year. We were into the second night, and Shaylece kept on telling us that her face felt numb, we laughed it off thinking that she was just being weird to get attention from us. We soon found out that she wasn’t kidding. She then passed out and wouldn’t come to, we had to call 911 and they couldn’t wake her up either. It was terrifying with the cops asking us all questions and the meds asking questions about how she felt before she passed out. She eventually came to, and she was really terrified of the cops yelling at her, she was still out of it, and was really scared. She started hitting the cops because I don’t know; when she woke up she was really childish. Then after a few hours and a sleepless night, everything calmed down. We later found out that she has Muscular Dystrophy. Although that is bad news, the part that was most depressing for her was that there is an eighty percent chance her kids will have it. But I mean, at least there’s a twenty percent chance they don’t! But all in all I guess I can say that my childhood has been one crazy heck of a ride.
